If you are in the elevator and it stops for no apparent reason, remember to remain calm. Pressing the emergency button within the cab will connect directly to the Elevator Company, Specialized Elevator. The operator will be familiar with the building, but the occupant will need to identify the Elevator # located above the floor indicator sign. Management will be advised of the situation; only during business hours will a two-way communication be established with the elevator occupants until help has arrived.

In the event of a power outage when the passenger and/or freight elevators are in use, the lights will remain on, but the car itself will temporarily stop moving. Each elevator will then automatically return to the ground floor lobby, the doors will open to allow occupants to exit. With the exception of one (1) passenger and the freight elevator that remain in use for emergency personnel only, all of other elevators will remain inoperable until the power has been restored.

IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE, ELEVATORS MUST NOT BE USED FOR EVACUATION. USE THE STAIRWELLS.
